Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
Privacy Statement
Opinion: International Journal of Business Management (ISSN 2277-4637 Online, ISSN 2231-5470 Print) is published by Wordsmith Strategy Hub LLP. This statement explains what personal information this journal site collects, why it is collected, who can see it, and how long it is kept.
It applies to journal.wordsmithstrategyhub.com and to the editorial correspondence that flows through it. It does not cover third-party websites that our published articles happen to link to.
What we collect
- Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, username and password, and, where you choose to provide them, your affiliation, country, biography, ORCID iD and mailing address.
- Submission information. Manuscripts, abstracts, author and co-author details, keywords, supplementary files, and the correspondence and review comments attached to a submission.
- Technical information. Our web server records standard log data for every request: IP address, date and time, the page or file requested, browser and operating system identifiers, and the referring page.
- Cookies. A single session cookie that keeps you signed in while you use the site, and a language preference cookie. Both are strictly necessary for the site to work. This journal runs no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
How we use your information
The names and email addresses entered in this journal site are used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal, and are not made available for any other purpose or to any other party. Specifically, we use your information to:
- operate your account and authenticate you;
- run the editorial process: acknowledging submissions, assigning and reminding reviewers, communicating decisions, and preparing accepted work for publication;
- publish accepted articles together with the author information that normally accompanies scholarly work;
- send you announcements or a table-of-contents notice, where you have asked to receive them;
- keep the site secure, diagnose faults, and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, rent it, or use it to build advertising profiles.
Who can see your information
- Editors and editorial staff of this journal, for the purpose of handling your submission.
- Reviewers, who receive your manuscript and the material submitted with it. Reviewer identities are kept confidential from authors unless a reviewer chooses to be named.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database on our behalf and is not permitted to use the data for its own purposes.
- Anyone, in the case of information attached to a published article. See the next section.
We will otherwise disclose personal information only where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to investigate a credible allegation of research misconduct in line with accepted publication ethics.
Published articles are public and permanent
Once an article is published, the author names, affiliations, abstract, keywords, and any contact details or ORCID iDs supplied for publication become part of the public scholarly record. They are openly readable, indexable by search engines and academic indexing services such as Google Scholar, and may be copied into third-party databases, citation managers and repositories outside our control. Because the scholarly record is meant to be stable, we cannot retract or anonymise published article metadata on request, except to correct a genuine error through a published correction notice.
How long we keep it
- Published content and its metadata: retained indefinitely, as part of the permanent scholarly record.
- Submission and review records for work that was declined or withdrawn: retained while they remain useful for editorial accountability, then deleted.
- Registered accounts: retained until you ask us to close them.
- Server logs: retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then rotated out.
Your choices
You can:
- view and edit most of your account information yourself, from your profile page while signed in;
- unsubscribe from announcements and notification emails at any time, through your profile or the link in the email;
- ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong, or to close your account and delete the information that is not part of the published record.
Write to the address at the end of this statement and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored in hashed form rather than as plain text, and access to the editorial system is limited to accounts that need it. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please choose a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused.
Changes to this statement
We may update this statement as the journal's practices change. The revision date below always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced on the site.
